Virtually all of  Dorset’s coast is now part of the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site. One of Britain’s first underwater Marine Wildlife Reserves is at Kimmeridge. Then there are the unique shingle bank of Chesil Beach and the Fleet lagoon, Poole Harbour with its saltmarshes and islands, the limestone cliffs of Portland and Purbeck, as well as rock pools,  undercliffs, sand dunes and some truly stunning beaches.
